Ships rolled in a tube
This is the second piece of a two part body of work
that speaks on the situation in congo where kids of very young age have
had to resort to immersive child labour just to survive and fend
themselves, they mine the fields morning and night to obtain cobalt
which is a substance used by big European companies to produce
batteries which are in turn used to make our mobile phones and other devices. Thousands
of kids have died and thousands are displaced away from home. The
works captures their frustration and questions the viewer for a way forward.
