How it all started...
Are you looking for authentic Caribbean food? Look no more. Our Jamaican dishes such as curried goat, stewed oxtail, escovitch snapper with festivals and our famous Jerk chicken will make you feel like you are in the island of Jamaica, having a taste of paradise. Our authentic, succulent and flavourful menu is a culinary melting pot that reflect the cultures that have influences the island of Jamaica for centuries. The jerk flavour is a blend of herbs and spices that has become native to Jamaica and has inspired us to fuse Jamaican cuisine with other cultures by introducing items such as our FAMOUS jerk poutine and pasta, amongst other creative dishes.

The Gospel Café & Restaurant Limited was established in 2010. For 10 years The Gospel Café serviced the community from our first location in Mississauga. The Gospel Café was the first live gospel entertainment dine-in restaurant of its kind. Over the 10 years local and international gospel artist took the stage at The Gospel Café making endless memories for patrons. The Gospel Café thrives in ensuring we give our customer the best and most memorable service. In May of 2020 during the covid pandemic, we were forced to close our doors, however we continued to thrive with the Gospel Cafe JERK XPRESS Food Truck, Halton Hills and in March of 2021 we relocated and reopened The Gospel Café/GC JERK XPRESS, Airport.

In 2018, we were given the opportunity to establish a permanent food truck location in Halton Hill at The Toronto Premium Outlet. GC Jerk Xpress became a new entity of The Gospel Café, hence the GC in GC Jerk Xpress. Our GC Jerk Xpress menu specializes in our jerk flavoured items such as our must try jerk chicken poutine, jerk wings, jerk chicken roti, jerk chicken salad and out snack size jerk wrap. Our menu also has a variety of our traditional menu item such as our curry goat and stewed oxtail on rice and peas. Why not shop until you drop at The Toronto Premium Outlet and revive yourself with the herbs and spices of our jerk flavour menu items. Look out for our 2nd food truck, opening soon!

In March of 2021, during the covid pandemic we were able to relocate The Gospel Café after closing our first location in May of 2020. This location runs as The Gospel Café, which will host our exclusive live gospel entertainment and will also offer the venue for private booking; however we will not offer dine-in services. This new location will also run as GC Jerk Xpress, Airport to offer our customers the option of ordering curb side pickup, delivery and catering services. As times evolve we thrive in providing new innovative option for our esteemed customers.

Our head Chef Collin Williams has over 30 years of culinary experience. The flavour he infuses in his dishes comes from his experience cooking with his grandmother while growing up in Montego Bay Jamaica. Collin also expanded his culinary profile while completing his studies at Liaison College in Concord Ontario. With the traditional and advance culinary techniques attained with his years of culinary experience, Collin has a versatile skill to creatively present authentic Caribbean cuisine and still add a fusion flare to his traditional dishes, such as our succulent oxtail poutine, jerk and shrimp pasta, and jerk veloute pan seared salmon amongst other savoury dishes.
