Restoring Justice

Does our current Justice System truly provide "Justice"?

We operate in a world designed to react to crime which has led to devastating losses directly impacting our communities. I've been told in my career prevention has no profit, so I believe it's time to shift the narrative, becuase profiting over education is disgraceful. We can create preventative curriculums that enrich our young people and aid in diverting miscommunicating from senseless deaths, arrests, and life sentences.

Restorative justice repairs the harm caused by crime. When victims, offenders and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results can be transformational. This practice emphasizes accountability, making amends, and — if they are interested — facilitated meetings between victims, offenders, and other persons.

I believe our current system in the U.S provides justice to those it was design to provide justice for. When we truly start to look at all citizen as equals in the eyes of the law then justice will be fair for all.
