Easily in my top 3 villain speeches. I’ve rewatched this movie so many times and I get the same reaction every time 😭
Tom Hardy was literally perfect for Bane. The voice, the pauses, the way he delivers every word… just insane. And the fact that he based Bane’s voice on bare-knuckle fighter Bartley Gorman makes it even better.
There’s just something about that raspy, theatrical voice that HITS every single time.
What a career Russel had. Sadly he couldn't close it out with a chip☹️
Sometimes you just need to go outside and touch grass.
One of my favourites: Wanderer above the Sea of Fog by Caspar David Friedrich (1818). It captures that feeling of being completely surrounded by something much bigger than yourself.
