What a fight! It’s not about how hard you can hit. It’s about how many times you get knocked down, get back up, and keep going after taking a beating. That’s the 'one more punch' mentality.

The Architecture of a Free Mind

Imagine waking up to the chilling realization that the compass you use to navigate your life was calibrated by someone who never wanted you to find your way.

There is a profound and terrifying truth buried in our modern existence:
"To not own your own mind, to not own the thoughts that flow in it, to judge ourselves, our history, our culture, through the lens of what our slave master gave us, is scary!"

Physical chains are loud, heavy, and obvious. They spark immediate rebellion. But mental chains are silent. They disguise themselves as "education," "civilization," and "progress." When we internalize the gaze of the oppressor, when we view our ancestral spirituality as mere myth, our native languages as unrefined dialects, and our rich history as a mere footnote to the Western world. We are surrendering the most sacred territory we possess: our own consciousness.

We become wardens of our own intellectual prisons, holding the gavel in the courtroom of our minds, quick to convict our own culture using the very laws written to subjugate us.

The Illusion of Autonomy

It is a terrifying realization that you might be renting space in your own head to the ideologies of those who sought to erase you.

• The Lens of Judgment: How often do we define our standard of beauty, success, or intelligence by metrics designed to exclude us?

• The Erasure of History: How often do we forget that our history did not begin with a slave ship or a colonial conqueror, but with empires, philosophers, astronomers, and kings?

To look in the mirror and see yourself through the eyes of someone who despised you is the ultimate tragedy. It strips you of your sovereignty.

The Path to Emancipation

The great Marcus Garvey and Bob Marley left us with a timeless mandate: Emancipate yourself from mental slavery; none but ourselves can free our minds.

This emancipation is not a gift that can be legislated or handed down by a government. It is an inside job. It requires a deliberate, often painful unlearning of everything we have been conditioned to accept as "normal."

How do we break the glass of this distorted lens? By going back to our roots.

• Reclaiming the Narrative: We must become the authors of our own history, digging past the colonial distortions to uncover the profound truths of our ancestors.

• Honoring our Heritage: We must embrace our indigenous philosophies, arts, and languages not as relics of a primitive past, but as the foundational bedrock of our future.

• Cultivating Self-Love: We must aggressively reject any ideology that positions our natural state of being as inferior.

Going back to our roots is not a regression; it is a retrieval. It is reaching back into the ashes of what was burned to find the indestructible diamond of our identity. Until we reclaim the narrative of who we were, we will never have the power to define who we will become.

Reclaim your lens. Reclaim your history. Reclaim your mind.

To understand why triBBBal is a relevant space for Us africans & black in diaspora, WATCH THIS.

The acquisition of knowledge and the sharing of information must be seen as our primary responsibilities. We must learn our history to truly understand who we are and our true place on earth as kings and queens.

triBBBal is a space where we, as African and Black in diaspora, can share our cultures and ideas, monetise our resources, and protect our interests.

Through shared ideas and mentorship, we can pass this on to the next generation to ensure our truths are not lost or rewritten by those who must ensure we remain bowing to their stolen wealth and coveted development.
