On March 23rd 1993, three young men came together to create their dream, a restaurant, at 2502 21st street in Tuscaloosa, located in the Historic West End only a few minutes from the University of Alabama. The restaurant's primary focus and only items were whitening fish, catfish fillets and catfish nuggets and the restaurant was named Catfish Heaven.

The restaurant's primary focus and only items were whitening fish, catfish fillets and catfish nuggets and the restaurant was named Catfish Heaven.

The business wasn't an immediate success and it began to concern the three partners. In 1995, Marvin Hambright, one of the investors, sold his interest back to brothers Andrew and Wayne Robertson. That very same year the two brothers came together and decided to broaden the menu items by adding hot wings. The new menu item was an instant success! In the years to follow, Catfish Heaven perfected all seasonings and over ten amazing wing flavors.
