Chef Jay's path to restauranteur began unexpectedly when he stumbled upon an abandoned building near his alma mater, Clark Atlanta University. Knowing he had something special to offer the restaurant industry, and with his prior experience, he decided to take a leap of faith and transform the space into a thriving eatery.

To bring his vision to life, Chef Jay reached out to his father "pops" in Jamaica, who had previously opened up the first Jamaican restaurant in Los Angeles back in the 70s.
