I'm drawn to the paradox of a feature so rich in character, uniqueness, and beauty being rejected simply for not conforming to traditional beauty standards. My work celebrates these often-marginalized features, highlighting that African hair is more than just a physical attribute – it's a divine adornment that can be styled, shaped, and transformed in countless ways, much like the ever-changing forms of clouds.
