In Our Land
$7,800.00
In Our Land is a moving, socio-political narrative that confronts the vulnerabilities, resilience, and unvarnished truth of youth caught amidst societal conflict. Dominating the foreground against an expressive ochre and sunshine-yellow field, a young girl carrying a child in a colorful wrapper gazes forward with a look of searching concern, flanked by two solemn young boys. Rising behind them like ghosts from the dust are armed sentinels with rifles, while fragments of newsprint highlighting words such as "dialog" and "prosecution" blend into the weathered, scraped impasto. The work elevates the lived realities of children in vulnerable regions, standing as a heartfelt appeal for peace, protection, and collective moral accountability.
